The Helix – Kelpies

The Helix project has transformed 350 hectares in Falkirk into a brand new recreational green space and visitors center. There are activities like Iagoon, wetlands, splash play area, kids adventure zone, accessible play area, trails and outdoor event space.

The jewel within the project though is The Kelpies. Standing 30 metres tall, and are the world’s largest equine sculptures. Towering over the Forth and Clyde canal, they form a dramatic gateway to the canal entrance on the East Coast of Scotland.

Visitors can experience a tour inside The Kelpies and hear all about their origin and inspiration. At the visitors center you can read the unique insight into the history of these magnificent sculptures and the center also has a cafΓ© and retail outlet for souvenirs.

Anne Frank House and Museum

The well known Anne Frank story is an inspiration to us all. Upon visiting Amsterdam, the Anne Frank house and museum are a must see and are located on Prinsengracht 263-267, 1016 GV Amsterdam. Opening hours vary so please check the web-site for details –

I pre-booked my entrance tickets from the web-site with a designated time slot to suit. When I arrived at the museum I was glad I did as the queue to enter was about a mile long! So please pre-book your tickets before hand to save waiting around, as there is loads to see and do in the Dutch capital.
